Free From Fear

 

I use to be a prisoner to FEAR, allowing my thoughts and mindset to hold me back. I was constantly in a fearful mindset of "What If's''. I would over think the simplest things, finding ways to talk myself out of giving something a try or just doing it and seeing if it works. 

I believe in God and have had other health issues that I have had to go through and he was there for me, he provided resources, he comforted me,  gave me peace through the journey and I made it through. Experiencing all of this I still allowed myself to be held in bondage by fear. 

Being in that fearful mindset impacted a lot of my decision making, subdued my personality and  affected how I lived my everyday life. I worried about the future and things that were out of my control. I was not being me and living the life that I was created to live.  

Over the past 3 years, I had a life changing experience with my health. I wrestled with myself spiritually and mentally to accept, surrender and trust God.  See this is what happens when fear dominates you, your thoughts are immediately shifted to the problem and all you can think of is the worse outcome. Wrestling with something I had no control over, even though I knew better because this was not my first time in the valley of darkness.  

Through prayer and lots of conversation with God, I came to a point where I  needed to surrender and let everything go including the fear and doubt.  God reminded me of the other challenges he bought me through and he didn't give me a spirit of fear but of power, love and a controlled mind. 

I knew that my thoughts and mindset was not going to help me get through this, if anything it was going to hinder me. When you are facing any challenges in life, your mindset is one of the things that will help you get through. It has to change, positive and negative can't exist in the same space.  I needed to approach the problem with a renewed spirit and a positive mindset.  God stepped in and broke the bondage of fear so I can be free. I trusted him to see me through. And he sure did, GOD IS FAITHFUL. 

2 Timothy 1:7 "For God has not given us a spirit of FEAR, but of POWER, and of LOVE and of SOUND MIND. 

 

God is faithful, he is a miracle worker, he answers prayers and he is peace during the storm.  He will release you from anything  that you find yourself bondage to. He will set you free if you want it. So surrender and give it to him. 

I am now in a better space, I am still a work in progress and will always be. But God has set me free and I am no longer letting my thoughts and mindset hold me back. I am walking through life by faith 

I am Free, Living Fearless, Uniquely made, Being Bold, Expressive and living for Christ.

 
I am a child of God, a Woman of Faith, God is my Savior and "I can do anything through Christ who give me the strength". - Philippians 4:13
